Maui Hub will not sell fruits/vegetables that are not grown in Hawai'i
Maui County-produced products and produce will always take priority.
Farmers must have a General Excise Tax.
Farmers need to provide an invoice.
Farmers creating value-added products must have a Food Establishment Permit with the Department of Health. (This includes microgreen/sprout farmers and egg producers.)
Produce must come washed and in high quality condition.
Understand Quality and Grading is essential! When not said otherwise, buyers expect all products to be Grade A.
This means mature, no imperfections (bug bites, signs of disease, bruising, etc.), free from dirt and pests, and a good high-quality size.
Grade B produce must be listed as Grade B. We will not take lower-quality product unless it is listed and sold as Grade B.
Photos and produce descriptions must accurately represent what is being sold.
All goods must be delivered to our warehouse by Thursdays at 10:00 AM.

Cottage Law does not apply to selling on Maui Hub.
Photos and product descriptions must accurately represent what is being sold. Ingredient must be stated in product listing.
The main ingredient(s) of value-added products must be sourced.
If no locally sources option is available (flour for instance) we make exceptions for staple food items. Staple foods are the basic foods that make up a significant portion of a person’s diet and are usually prepared at home and eaten as a meal. (Pasta, bread, bagels, ect.)
Maui Hub encourages producers to list which farm(s) they are sourcing from. Highlighting where the locally-sources ingredients are being grown, whenever possible, for transparency and accountability.
Maui Hub will evaluate whether producers uses locally grown ingredients and how many local ingredients are used.
If a producer uses a fruit/vegetable ingredient that is not locally sourced and a locally sourced item could be used in replacement, Maui Hub will decline to sell the product on our site.
Maui Hub's mission is to expand the "Grown in Hawaiʻi" market rather than the "Made in Hawaiʻi" market.
State law prohibits using "Made in Hawaiʻi" for any item that has not had at least 51% of its wholesale value added within the State.
Health & Wellness Product: Products must be compliant with FDA labeling & marketing standards, with no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.
Maui Hub encourages producers to use Hawaʻii suppliers and consider what is locally available while developing their products.
- Using local honey instead of sugar as a sweetener.
- Include local fruits, nuts, or 'ulu/kiawe flour in any recipes.
- Use macadamia nut or sunflower oils instead of imported oils.
We encourage producers to adapt their recipes/processes to feature locally grown ingredients purchased directly from the farmer.

A biography of your farm/business is advertised on our “Meet Your Producers” page including farm/business history, photos, and links to your website and social media.
Coming from Upcountry? We will save you a trip to town! Maui Hub offers an Upcountry Pickup Location for producers on Wednesdays between 11:00 AM - Noon. Location: 328 Omaopio Road, about a 1/4 mile below Kula Highway. Look for the Maui Hub van. No sign-up is required! We just ask that you assist in unloading/loading as we do not have access to a forklift.

We use an ecommerce platform called Local Food Marketplace for which you will have an account. We will assist you in setting up your account and are happy to provide technical support!
